  • 5th Box app: it automatically manages revision of your learning, so that you concentrate on words that are difficult to remember, and don't waste time reviewing words that you know very well.

    Correctly answered cards are advanced to the next, less frequent box, While incorrectly answered cards return to the first box.
    The easy words are pushed way off into the future.


    5th box decide when you should see a word based on SRS (Spaced Repetition System). Words will reappear just when you need them most, to refresh your memory.

  • "Flashcards mode"




    Flag out: Don't ask me again. (Move card to "Flag box")
    Edit back card one by one.
    Favorite cards (Copy card to "Favorite box")


    "Spelling mode"
    Listen to the word. Then spell the word that you hear.


    Correctly answered cards are advanced to the next, While incorrectly answered cards return to the first box.

  • 3. How to manage cards and decks.

  • 1. Tap at the top-right corner.

    2. Tap .


    3. Then insert your word.
    4. Press "Next" to create next question or press "Done" when you've finished.

    2. Tap .
    3. Choose "Create Deck".


    4. Insert deck name. Then tap "Done" button.
    5. Then insert cards.

    2. Check the checkbox for each card you want to act or check select all on top bar.


    3. Tap .
    4. Choose option: copy cards or move cards.


    5. Select deck you want to paste.

    4. Choose option: Copy or Move.


    5. Select folder you want to paste. Then tap "Done" button.

    5. Then select deck you want to download.
    6. Tap "Download" at the top-right corner.

  • How to share deck.



  • Sender
    1. Tap at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
    2. Choose "Export via Wi-Fi Transfer".


    3. Tell your IP address to receiver and stay on this screen until receiver download finish.

    4. Then tap "Disconnect" button.

    Receiver
    1. Tap at the top-left corner.

    2. Tap .
    3. Choose "Import from Wi-Fi Transfer".


    4. Enter your sender device IP address.
    5. Tap "Connect".


    6. Then tap on the green "Download" button.

    2. Choose "Share deck".


    3. Choose "Message" or "Mail".

    2. Tap .zip file.

    3. Tap action button
    4. Then select "Copy to 5th box". Then tap OK.

  • How to use.

  • 1. Find words you want to act in "Flag box" or "Favorite box".


    2. Filp card to back side.
    3. Tap flag button or favorite button (star button).

  • 1. Tap at the bottom of the screen.


    2. You can set at "Card Options".
         - Set first side display: "Front side first", "Back side first" or "Random side".
         - Set font size and align.

    *Note Font size: Tap "Set as default" button if you want to set this font size to every decks. (This setting will effect to next decks are created.)

  • 1. Enter to study mode.
    2. Tap "Sound" button to On or Off.


    *Note This setting will effect to every cards.

    2. Tap in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
    3. You can set alarm for "Word of the Day".
         - Enable notification: Set On or Off.
         - Set alarm time.

    3. At "SRS+ Adjust Time", You can set time for each box. and tap "Reset" button to default setting.

  • How to backup

  • Backup

    1. Connect the iOS device to your computer using the included USB cable.
    2. Open iTunes in your computer.


    3. Choose your device.
    4. Click menu "Apps".
    5. Choose App "5th box" at "File Sharing" zone. Then you will see files.
    6. Choose all files and click "Save to..." button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.


    7. Navigate to the computer location where to save backup files.


    Restore

    1. Connect the iOS device to your computer using the included USB cable.
    2. Open iTunes in your computer.


    3. Choose your device.
    4. Click menu "Apps".
    5. Choose App "5th box" at "File Sharing" zone, Then you will see default files.
    6. Click on "Add..." button to select backed-up restored file.


    7. Choose all files and upload to replace the exist files.

  • Make an iCloud backup your old device.
    1. Connect your old device to the Internet with Wi-Fi.


    2. In iOS 8 or later, tap Settings > iCloud > Backup.
        In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
    3. Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned on.
    4. Tap Back Up Now. Stay connected to Wi-Fi until the process finishes.
    5. Make sure the backup finished in Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage. It should appear with the correct date and size.


    Transfer to your new device.
    1. Turn on your new device. A "Hello" screen should appear. If you've finished setting up your new device already.
    2. Swipe left to right on the "Hello" screen. Follow steps until you see the Wi-Fi screen.
    3. Tap a Wi-Fi network to join.


    4. Follow steps until you see the Apps & Data screen, then tap Restore from iCloud Backup > Next.
    5. Enter your Apple ID and password.


    6. Choose a backup. Make sure it's the right one by looking at the date and size of each. After you choose, the transfer starts.
    7. Stay connected and wait for the process to complete.
